Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars - Tonight

Doctor Who returns tonight at 7:00pm on BBC One and BBC HD for the second of its four 2009 specials, read on for the synopsis:

THE WATERS OF MARS - by Russell T Davies & Phil Ford
The Doctor lands on the red planet, at a base in peril, in this one-off special of Russell T Davies' Doctor Who. A creeping infection beneath the Martian surface threatens not only the human race, but also the Doctor's most fundamental beliefs. Together with Adelaide Brooke - the base's commander - the Doctor must battle not only a seemingly unstoppable entity, but time itself, as the prophecy about his future begins to resonate. Is his song about to come to an end?

Doctor Who Confidential: Is There Life on Mars? will follow the episode's broadcast over on BBC Three at 8:00pm. Both programmes will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer soon after their broadcasts. The third of the 2009 specials will broadcast later this year - more information coming then.
