In a recent interview with Music from the Movies, Murray Gold has confirmed that he is currently contucting new music for series five of Doctor Who. He also states that he is working on a new version of the theme tune. Also, Gold confirmed that Doctor Who writers Mark Gatiss and Gareth Roberts have writtten stories for the new series, along with new head writer Steven Moffat and Richard Curtis. Doctor Who returns this coming spring on BBC One and BBC HD.

Murray Gold Conducting Music for Series Five of Doctor Who

This is great news, thanks! Do you know if there will be a soundtrack album released for the Doctor Who specials (The Next Doctor through The End of Time)?
Nothing has been confirmed on a soundtrack for the specials yet, but if there is, it might be included with the series five one.
Oh I hope so - though I'd love to see a separate album (the more music the better in my book!). Thanks!
