New Doctor Who: Series 5 Promo Picture & Trailer!

The BBC have today released the first promo image from the new upcoming series of Doctor Who, featuring the new Eleventh Doctor and new companion Amy Pond in a hurling vortex surrounded by some new and old enemies. You can download the new image in sizes 1024, 800 and widescreen. Also, a new promo trailer advertising the next series is to broadcast on BBC One this Saturday at 6:30pm, however, you can watch it below:

The trailer is to be shown in 3D in cinemas accross the UK prior to the beginning of the film Alice in Wonderland next month. In other news: It has been confirmed that the episode opener to the new series of Doctor Who, The Eleventh Hour is ironicly one hour long. The new series begins this Spring on BBC One and BBC HD.
