More details have been revealed about the new forthcoming series of Doctor Who:

- Episode 1 is rumoured to be titled Asylum of the Daleks
- Episode 1 will premiere at the Media Guardiannbsp Edinburgh International TV Festival, which takes place between 23rd-25th August
- The series (episode 1) has been rumoured to make its TV debut on Saturday 25th August or 1st September on BBC One and BBC One HD
- According to Steven Moffat, the new Paradigm Daleks are an "officer class"
- The Special Weapons Dalek from the classic story Remembrance of the Daleks is confirmed to appear in the series opener
- On killing off companions, Moffat said its a possibility - one he might or might not consider
- Episode 2 apparently has "the best title ever" and is the one that has the most VFX out of the whole series
- UNIT are to return in episode 4, rumoured to be titled Cubed. Moffat suggested that if a UNIT story is to feature... it could be a possibility for Martha Jones to return
- While the concept of Trenzalor is revealed, part of "The Fall of the Eleventh" concept is resolved as well as "the question"
- Moffat has confirmed there will be a story arc, but it will be "the opposite" to the one featured in series six
- Jenna-Louise's character is going to "a shock" according to Moffat when making her debut
- Moffat commented that the order of episodes could be swapped around and that a two-part story could be included, but only if it is necessary for the story
- Filming for the series will continue through 2012 and into 2013
Doctor Who returns this Autumn to BBC One and BBC One HD.
