Neill Gorton has created many of the memorable monsters who have featured in Doctor Who since its return in 2005 and on Saturday 29th March he’ll be giving a free masterclass about his work!
Neill is a prosthetics designer and the director of Millennium FX, the BAFTA award winning make-up and special effects company responsible for the look of countless aliens who have crossed the Doctor’s path, as well as characters featured in BBC shows such as The Sarah Jane Adventures, Wizards vs. Aliens and Being Human.
The masterclass is part of BBC Radio 4’s Character Invasion, a fascinating project which combines an on-air celebration of how the characters we love have been created and bought to life, along with a day of free events across the country.
Neill’s masterclass will take place at Cardiff’s Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and begins at 1:30pm on Saturday 29th March. It will offer an amazing insight into how some of some of television’s most striking monsters and aliens are created using cutting edge prosthetics, animatronics and special make-up FX.
You can apply for a maximum of four tickets per household and can register for tickets at any time until Thursday 13th March at 4:00pm.
Please note, those attending Neill’s event must be 8 years-old or over and under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information and on how to get hold of tickets, click here.
