The Sarah Jane Adventures: Artists of the Future

The official Sarah Jane Adventures website has been updated with a new feature called Artists of the Future, where fans can send their artwork and have it displayed on the site's online gallery. Click here to find out more and how to submit your drawing. In other news: a special edition of Doctor Who magazine is on sale from tomorrow titled Sarah Jane Smith and is priced £5.99 per copy. The magazine includes a depth look into the first two series of SJA and a preview of the third series, the cover can be viewed below:

The Sarah Jane Adventures returns to screens on Thursday 15th October at 4:35pm on BBC One and BBC HD.

Doctor Who: Series 1-4 DVD Boxset - Cover & Info

2entertain have revealed the box cover artwork on a new Doctor Who DVD collection. The boxset includes the boxsets to the first four series of Doctor Who with their included extras plus an episode guide booklet. The boxset is on sale from 26th October priced £89.99 per copy and consists of 23 discs. Please note that the boxsets have been cerficated 12 years and shouldn't be watched by anyone below that age (most content, however, is rated PG).

SJA: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith - New Pictures!

New images from The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith,  the third story for Series three of The Sarah Jane Adventures, have been released! Digital Spy have also revealed a plot summery:


Overall: "Sarah Jane has met Peter Dalton and wants him to become part of her life; to become a father to Luke perhaps. But Clyde thinks Peter is hiding a secret or two of his own, especially when he and Rani find an empty house where Peter says his home should be..."

Part 1: "The Doctor returns on the happiest day of Sarah Jane's life - but a deadly trap is waiting for them all! As the strands of a clever and careful plan draw together, can even a Time Lord save Sarah Jane, on the day of her arch-enemy's greatest triumph?"

Part 2: "The Doctor joins the battle - but is it too late to save both Sarah Jane and the Earth itself? As the power of the Pantheon of Discord grows in strength, the old friends are separated across different time zones, and must fight to save each other - but for one, there's a terrible price to pay."

Part 1 of The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith will broadcast on 29th October at 4:35pm on BBC One and BBC HD with Part 2 on the next day at the same time and place. In other news: the BBC Press Office have released a press pack containing videos information on shows what will broadcast on CBBC this Autumn and Winter 2010, the content includes a trailer for SJA: Prisoner of the Judoon, you can watch it here.

SJA: Prisoner of the Judoon - Synopsis

The BBC Press Office have released the synopsis for the first two-part story from the third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures titled Prisoner of the Judoon:

PART ONE - Thursday 15th October, 4:35pm
In the first of this two-part adventure, Sarah Jane and the gang face the most dangerous day of their lives, as the rhino-like Judoon return. When prisoner Androvax the Destroyer crash-lands on Earth, a Veil is set free and starts to turn Earth’s technology against itself. And his next intended victim is Sarah Jane.

PART TWO  - Friday 16th October, 4:35pm
Luke, Clyde and Rani fight their most fearsome enemy yet - Sarah Jane Smith - in the second episode of this two-part, alien-busting adventure.

As the Judoon fleet approaches Earth, it's a race against time to stop Androvax. But with Genetech's technology on the rampage, and Rani's parents taken prisoner, can anything stop the Army of the Infinitesimal?

The Press Office also released info on what else to expect later in the series:

The series also features an extraterrestrial girl who can make people play games against their will; a living painting; the inhabitants of a supposedly haunted house; and monsters who want to infect Earth with a strangely aggressive weed. Finally, there is a chance for Sarah Jane to find personal happiness with someone who could be the perfect person to complete her family.

Both parts of Prisoner of the Judoon will broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD.

New Doctor Who: Alien Armies Trading Cards

Panini, publishers of Doctor Who magazine, have announced that they will be releasing new Doctor Who collectible trading cards, similar to Doctor Who: Battles in Time. The over all title of the trading cards is Doctor Who: Alien Armies, and features 260 cards. Like the Battles in Time series, different cards have different textures:

  • 180 cards - Standard
  • 40 cards - Glitter Foil
  • 20 cards - Super Foil
  • 20 cards - Emboss

Doctor Who: Alien Armies will be launched on 1st October with a starter pack including a collector's binder, game board, checklist, and 18 Alien Armies cards, priced £4.99 per copy. Alien Armies card packs containing six cards will also be available to purchase at newsagents priced £0.50 per pack.

Torchwood: Series 1-3 DVD & Blu-ray Boxsets - Covers & Info

2entertain have revealed the box cover artwork on a new Torchwood DVD/Blu-ray collection. The boxset includes the boxsets to the first three series of Torchwood with their included extras plus an episode guide booklet. The boxset is on sale from 26th October priced £59.99 per copy on DVD format, which consists of 14 discs, and £69.99 per copy on Blu-ray format, which consists of 12 discs. Please note that the boxsets have been cerficated 15 years and shouldn't be watched by anyone below that age.

BBC Books have released the cover and synopsis on a new Sarah Jane Adventures novel:

K.9 - New Details

New details about the new forthcoming Doctor Who spin-off K.9 have emerged. Read on for further details:

K.9 - First Look at Mipcom
The long-awaited television series K.9, featuring everyone’s favourite robot dog, is in post-production. Episodes are now being delivered and will be shown to TV buyers at Mipcom in October.

Originally created for the 1970s Doctor Who series by Bob Baker and Dave Martin, K.9 has long been an iconic television character. K.9 is a children’s sci-fi/adventure series combining comedy, action and suspense - X Files meets Men in Black with a zany dash of Ghostbusters. K.9 mixes live action characters with stunning visual-effects.

K.9 and his three teenage companions become the earth’s front line defence against dangers threatening from anywhere and anytime in the galaxy. They will have a lot of fun, action, adventure, and some scares along the way, saving the earth from alien creatures, monsters and more than a few human threats.

K.9 is to broadcast soon on Disney XD, an exact time and date is to be confirmed.

Doctor Who Greatest Moments: The Enemies - Tonight

The third and final episode of Doctor Who Greatest Moments is to broadcast tonight at 8:00pm on BBC Three. The episode is titled The Enemies and looks into the Doctor's enemies since the show was revived in 2005. The episode will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer soon after it's broadcast.

The Sarah Jane Adventures: New Series 3 Details

Last weekend at Manchester, a CBBC event called See Me on CBBC took place. One of the things that visitors could do was to act out a scene from The Sarah Jane Adventures. The scenes involve SJA monsters set to appear in the new series, such as a Judoon Trooper and a Blathereen. But thanks to Sarah Jane.tv, we now get a taste of what the Blathereen will look like, and as we can see the image above, they're orange rather than green like their cousions the Slitheen. The Blathereen are set to appear in the new SJA story The Gift later this year on CBBC. Also...

The BBC have confirmed further details related to the third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures:

Sarah Jane and her gang, Clyde, Luke and Rani, are back on TV this autumn for brand new escapades. They'll be battling Judoon, Slitheen and Blathereen non-stop in what's set to be endless action and adventure. And watch out for a very special guest star this series!

Brand new series starts this October, only on CBBC.
